Cookie Policy
PrepHub uses the cookies and browser storage it needs to work, plus two optional ones only if you agree. There are no advertising cookies.
What we use
| Name | Type | What it's for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| prephub_session | Cookie | Keeps you signed in, securely | 30 days, or until you sign out |
| Basket | Browser storage | Remembers the meals in your basket for each kitchen | Until you order or clear it |
| Checkout return | Browser storage | Recognises your order when you come back from paying by card | Until the order is confirmed |
| prephub_consent | Cookie | Remembers your cookie choices | 12 months |
| Kitchen admin tools | Browser storage | For kitchen staff only: unsaved menu drafts, ticked grocery lists and guide progress | Until cleared |
These are strictly necessary for the site to work, so they don't need your consent. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, but you won't be able to sign in or keep a basket.
Optional, only if you agree
| Name | Type | What it's for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| prephub_device | Cookie | Recognises this device on later visits, so we can see how people come back | 12 months |
| Session recording | Browser storage | Links the pages of one visit into a single recording of how the site was used | 30 minutes |
Session recordings capture how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, what changed on screen), never anything you type, and on account and kitchen admin pages all text is hidden too. Only the PrepHub team can watch them, and they're deleted after 30 days. You can change your choice at any time: . If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to everything optional, including the cookie-free usage statistics below.
Usage statistics
We count visits and page views so we can see how PrepHub is used, and so each kitchen can see how many people visit its storefront. This uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device: a visitor who isn't signed in is counted with a code made from their connection that changes every day. You can turn this off in cookie settings. See our Privacy Policy.
Other sites
When you pay by card you're taken to Stripe, which sets its own cookies for security and fraud prevention under its own policy. Maps on PrepHub load tiles from Esri, and address searches use postcodes.io and OpenStreetMap; these don't set cookies on PrepHub.
Changes
If we add any other non-essential cookies, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page. Questions: privacy@prephubuk.co.uk.
